Photographer's Note
The peak hour train home to Fremantle on a Friday afternoon, as the working zombies begin their weekend plans early.
--------
Same line, same day, all on the same track
We cross paths, but barely interact
You got no time to chit chat
You got a schedule to keep
Shooting straight across the city and you're dodging the sheep
The Herd - States of Transit

Yes, ok.. the moment and the characters might be worth the shot. Nice try, good urban (the window tags) and motionful background, I'm quite pleased with your BW conversion, but...
.. I still wonder about the impact of this shot, if you excuse my words I feel this image like a bit on the TAME side, probably due to the frontal POV... there was maybe something more impactful to try a more spectacular POV a mor edaring framing, something I miss for that correct but not mindblowing shot (that said, always better than most of the uploads in this site, but you owe us something wilder, Brendan... just a question of photog standing.)
PS : (and don't pretend your subjects were moving too fast ;D...)

Really nice! I like the reflections on the window. Are they already a couple? ;)
Best, Marc

Captured the mood well. The tired faces tells that they had a hard day.

Hi Brendan,
I love shots like this. Nothing about posing and sleeping they always look vulnerable. They look like pospstars or something like that. Nice job,

Hi Brebdan.
J'aime bien ce moment, simple, mais un joli moment volé, avec ces 2 personnes fatiguées.
La dof est excellente, avec en plus ce mouvement en arrière !
Le n/b est un peu mou par contre....

Very nice shot, mate. I like the DOF and the motion on the background. The writing also shows the reality of today’s life in Australia. The same thing happens in Brisbane. Well done.

I read Luko's critique as if ut had been written for me, Brendan. WHo knows if we are not hotographing the rdinary in an ordinary way? I personally like your shot but the tameness is perhaps in the treatment which is too mild tonally for what you want to get across. With this in min I have uloaded wone of the craziest WS I have ever done. See what you think...
Cheers,
Francis

Hi Brendan,
I feel sooooooooo tired when I look at this picture... :)
I like the blurred BG with the movement and the tags on the window.
Really nice scene.

they look a bit partied out, but it is too daylight outside for that I imagine.
I think that the shot looses it for me with the softness of the subjects. The subjects do lack a bit of "pop" in the interesting catagory. Maybe a stronger contrasting shot might help a bit?
I did a w/s just to play and increased the contrast a lot and added some "noise". It might not be your thing, but see what you think.
When I get a shot that is well composed but I have done something that I am unhappy with I try some other processings. It has helped me find some interesting processings, but I also know that it is just making up for my own bad technique. Hope it is not offensive to you.

Buon Giorno Brendan,
Really a beautifil image.
Portrait - Unfortunately - shiny of the consequences of a frantic style of life that it involves and it alienates the people of the whole world. It's a Pity...

Hi Brendan.
Yes, that's daily life. Even more: urban life. But even better the next: looks so close to us, almost we can touch this intimate moment.
Was the camara invisible?
Regards.
