Nellies Glen, a photo from New South Wales, East

We're still locked down and confined to our local government area. Fortunately the district goes into several national parks so we've been revisiting spots we haven't been to for a while.
One of those spots is Nellies Glen in Budderoo National Park. There hadn't been big recent rain so there wasn't a lot of water flowing over the falls.
That pool is classed as a swimming hole but I don't think that it is very deep.
In the WS is a view taking in the area to the left of the falls.
The skies in the 2 photos are very pale because the sun was high in the sky and in front of me.

Hi ian,
nice photo and landscape, a composition well balanced with waterfall like focal point and good effect with the Fg and the vegetation in particular in the corner of the FG, tfs.

Hi Ian,

A nice quiet little area with the addition of a little waterfall. The water is a beautiful aqua colour, which shows up better in the workshop. Good natural colours and sharpness. Perhaps you could have underexposed the photo and then brightened up the shadows using software, in order to get more colour in the sky and other highlights.

Maybe I'd prefer the WS post because it has better lighting, IMHO.

Hello Ian,
There are no huge masses of water falling down the rock, but it looks like a very nice place for a picnic. There was not much to do about the pale sky.

A pleasant waterhole with a nice waterfall and superb framing and sharpness. Nice repetition of the small ripples in the water with good skylight reflections. Tfs!

Hello Ian,

This is a lovely place to visit, especially in spring.
The greenery makes a very attractive border to the rippling water in the pool, with the falls creating a good, b/g focal point.
You did a good job of excluding most of the sky, without compromising the compositions. Sadly, we cannot order weather conditions to our own liking!

This small natural pool looks like a hidden secret.
Excellent place for a swim and to relax a bit.
Beautiful composition. Including the rocks and plants in the foreground gives good depth to the photo.

Such a beautiful place with this small lake surrounded by low cliffs, rocks and a waterfall. Also the many green colours are very appealing on this sunny day.

Hi Ian,
We are free to travel but at the moment when I am writing we have a torrential rain. So we are effectively also confined to travel not too far due to the unpredictable autumnal weather.
This is a beautiful spot here with the charming waterfall.
You have well included some scenery in the foreground.

This is just wonderful. A small waterfall plunges into a natural pool. Bushes surround it giving the place quite lovely atmosphere. Good off centre framing.

Hello Ian, a lovely name for a lovely place.
There is enough falling water to create ripples on the surface of the pool which then catches the light.
Lots of shades of green highlighted by the overhead sun.
