Menindee Lake 5 gold, a photo from New South Wales, East

Believe it on not this photo was taken before most of my other Menindee Lake photos. The sun had gone partly behind some clouds and I took the photo looking towards the sun resulting in this very different almost gold effect. It was still well before sunset.
Another one of the drowned forest.

Hello Ian,
This is mainly about the golden light, but the dead trees get a special character when seen as dark silhouettes. The large tree to the left saved you from an overexposure by hiding the sun.

Hi Ian,

An atmospheric photo, enhanced by the golden colour of the sky and water. The silhouettes of the trees and grass make interesting patterns with their reflections. The best part for me are the twisted branches of the dead trees - they give a spooky feel to the scene.

All of the silhouetted trees and shrubs looks so beautiful against the golden color of the sky and reflections. The bare tree branches on the right have a bit of a haunting look, too. Take care!
