Photographer's Note
Please open both photos in a new tab for the better versions.
A few people have said that River Red Gums look like eucalypts. That is because they are The River Red Gum is Eucalyptus camaldulensis. Gum tree is the common name for eucalypts and comes from gum that comes out of the trunks. They also, along with many other eucalypt species, produce good oil for medical purposes from their leaves.
The timber is pest resistant so has often been used for things like house stumps. The timber is a deep red and good for furniture (our dining room table is river red gum and is extremely heavy).
So here is my last river red gum photo (sorry but I've just realised that these are actually Eucalyptus Coolabahs with their dark trunks) for a while with them lining a river side road. To the right you can see a camp site set amongst the trees, not necessarily wise as river red gums are prone to drop large limbs without warning.
In the WS is a photo of the detail of the trunk of a long fallen river red gum.

Hello Ian,
In the WS we find a beautiful work of art created by nature.
In your main photo, the road winds nicely through the forest of eucalyptus trees.
These trees are already branching very close to the ground.
In this photo, the trees seem to grow sideways as much as they are upwards.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Ian
The meandering dirt road adds good lead in lines and perspective. Excellent sharpness and the bark patterns in the workshop are superb. Tfs!

Hello Ian,
Two beautiful photos that complement each other well.
I like to look at the whole and then discover the details that make up the whole.
Often you will come across the most surprising patterns as can be seen in your workshop photo.
Excellent picture
Have a nice day, groet Rob

Hi Ian,
The curves of the road is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the River Ted Gum trees. The light is binging out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Ian
Am I at the edge of the legendary Mysterious Forest :)
The winding path, located for a judicious lead in, is quite inviting for further discoveries through these enigmatic trunks. Thanks for the elaborated note.
Cheers

Hi Ian,
it gets more and more complicated for me. Which are the ones which are a delicacy for Koala bears?
Either way they surely are very photogenic.
Nice busy natural composition here.
Excellent work,
