Photographer's Note

I know, I know, another flower picture. But this is not some garden plant, this is a wildflower which grows on Bluff Knoll in the Stirling Range NP. The Stirling Range is the highest mountain range of Western Australia and Bluff Knoll it's highest peak (1095m). This area represents one of the worlds greatest and most important wildflower and fauna reserves. Over 1400 plant species have been indexed here, a density comparable with the rains forests of South America.

The Australians are very smart about creating national parks in ecologically important areas... thank you!
