Photographer's Note

The thinker. Was at Cobourg Lake in Melbourne's North, seemed to be miles away in thought. I was up close when I took this shot, that gave me the opportunaty to speak to him and discovered that his father was from Trieste, his mother from Slonenia, he was born in Venice and now lives in Australia and calls himself an Australian but adds that he is also a Venetian.
It is a small world we now live in.

Very sharp and colorful portrait shot. I like the closeness that you came to your subject here, very intimate feel to get to know him.

Nice composition here, in particular, I like the hand holding the chin and the thumb pressing into the face.

The blue collar gives very good contrast to skin tone and straw hat. Great work. TFS

Hi Santo,
t's a wonderful profile of a thoughtful man.
Perhaps thoughts of his Venice.
But perhaps it is better not to know.
A very intimate moment, contrary to appearanc.
