i like your shot rowan, but i would ahve resisted the urge to make it a wide shot, instead going vertical and cropping out the helmets on either side.
a lower angle would have removed the base and also included your reflection more clearly.
nice b&w tones and a really great idea for a shot ... but i think it's crying out to be done vertically.
i did a really simple workshop, just for comparison!

Nice photo. Great idea, sharp lines and good choice for B&W. Personally I prefer the wider shot, it places the distorted view into a sub-focus of the photo which adds to the mystery of the scene.

Hi Rowan
I think David's crops work well to focus your compo. Other than that I really like it. Sharp, shiny, super tones again anda cool idea.

I think David said it all : the vertical cropped image was the way to go, certainly with that nice bike silhouette populating the background.

Great idea!
Very sharp focus and the B&W treatment works very well. The comments above about cropping are useful I think, and add a bit to strengthen the image.
Well done - TFS!

Even a square crop was a possibility to avoid the non-informative right side and it would outcenter you to a strong spot. It inspires a lot, so it means that the idea has a lot of capacity and the B&W is excellent contrasted.
