Photographer's Note
This is what inspired my last 3 posts. This is why I get up around 5am each morning, well the dogs are the real reason but the bonus is I get to enjoy mornings like this.
No dogs this morning, a weekend break on the Gold Coast and an early morning at Currumbin Beach. I perched myself on some very uneven rock pools as I wanted to get a low position to include some of the protruding rocks in the foreground.
Currumbin is located at the southern end of what is known as the Gold Coast in South East Queensland, only about a 5 min drive from here and you are in NSW.

Hello Jude,
This is nice sunrise with great colors.
I like this kind of picture with a dark part.
But maybe on this one this dark part is a little bit to big (?)
Greetings.

Dear Jude,
So it are the dogs that bring you to this early hour....;-))))
I hate to get up early, only on vacation it can't be early enough. I'm hunting for light, the same light you hunt for, that's what i call the real spirit and i can only bow for those who also get out of bed this early hour. Coming home, having coffee, uploading the files and seeing this....than you know why you do it.
The sun just above, touching the horizon and the clouds, perfect timing. Wonderful light, but also that small tough of blue from the water. Clouds play an important role here and they look great, if the were made for you to show them to us....very beautiful.
Regards,
Henk

Hello Jude,
Excellent timing for capturing golden ball at just on horizon. I liked fantastic spectrum of red-golden colors with thin cloud layer on sky. Dark silhouettes of shore and its contrast with splendidly colored blue sea are just amazing. Congratulations.

Hello Jude,
Fabulous sunrise, and very effectively presented. The silhouette of the hills on the foreground against the lovely morning sun. The old Maya Indians of Central America believed that the sun set on the west when it was very tired; that it was carried across the underworld on a litter; then it rose from the East, rejuvenated. This sun does not appear fully rested, and ready for the day. Five in the morning there, would correspond to about three in the afternoon of the previous day here. Indeed, it must be around 7:00 am in Queensland now.
Warm regards,
Bulent
