Photographer's Note
"God is a concept

we measure
our pain.
I'll say it again. . . "
-John Lennon
The god of the atheists is very upset.
His legions neglected a permit to get.
He sent down the rain.
Again and again.
Against divine retribution your skin you bet.

Hi Hugh,
very interesting composition and a very stimulating note. Studying this photo again and again I am very happy with my "cosy church" in my very little corner of this world.
This is a great shot indeed.

Hello Hugh,
Very interesting shot. Once again, I enjoy your street capture. I like the strong rain and the atmosphere. Separation of church and state, like in France, I think it is a very hard work in the USA.
Best regards,
Fabrice

not much audience here... the god of the atheists must be really very upset... to the extent that he made that lonely woman catching a cab hurry to leave the upset place... rush, bebe, rush!....
superb capture, hugh!

In those days, when religion is becoming a more and more fatally global epidemic, like it was in the middle ages, i feel more and more sterile and mentally content for being an atheist. At least, i won't feel responsible for the end of the world, which will most probably be brought to our world by those devils, which are in disguise of patriotic believers.
The rain and lonesome may look a bit ironic here, but it is the rain what makes the grass grow tall...
Cheers,
Deniz
