Photographer's Note
Trees
"I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of Robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree."
Joyce Kilmer.
December 6, 1886-July 30, 1918.
This vista was from the footbridge in Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest in North Carolina. This is an HDR composite of five shots done in PS CS2.

Don,
Although this image still exhibits some of the light and colour peculiarities often found in HDR images - it somehow manages to overcome these - in mood - to present the real feeling of this forest.
The twin poled fallen tree neatly holds the composition together.
