Photographer's Note

I took this after a day of hiking around Zion's with my family and parents. It was at the end of a long day and I had one sheet of Velvia 50 left. My mom had walked on ahead while I was a couple of miles back down the trail taking a picture of the river. She told me that all she wanted was a picture of the narrows up ahead. Talk about pressure... The water in the river was 42 degrees and I was in tennis shoes. I had one chance to get this and it turned out ok. I used my Graflex with a 90mm lens. No filter's were harmed in the making of the shot. The shutter speed was about 4 seconds...I wish that I had captured the water a little better.
