Photographer's Note
You must push your way
Through every day
Fight your wars
Heal your sores
Make your calls
For after all
At our core
We are eternally stalled
Push-Pull

Baaah,
Tell me that i am not the only one who enjoys looking through a dirty glass, and who finds the idea here original.
And you even found a spontaneous figure, applied DOF and added a cheesy rhyme over there.
I even find the idea of a "push-pull" theme original. Anyone to debate with me?

Not only are the windows dirty, they actually look pitted with age as well. The dirt and texture add an extra dimension and give it feeling. A real nice change from all the shinny clean windows I see all the time.
Pretty cool series Hugh. I would have never thought.
Good rhyme by the way!

Steamy, dirty, scratched (windows) - I like them all, Hugh - challenging, moody, great effects :).
Interesting capture - love the framing, the cold colors, the contrast.
Really well done!

C'est une jolie superposition Hugh ! J'aime les traces sur la vitre comme des dizaines de volutes de fumée... J'aime le pas déterminé de cet homme... push your way... Tu as tellement raison...
Bonne année 2008...

hi hugh,
i love the idea of this photo as well as execution (i'd perhaps try to strighten those white lines on the right hand side and the edge of the window so that verticals look vertical...:-)
however - an overall impression is very positive...
in partcular i like colors/contrasts...

Hi Hugh,
oh yes that feeling...
This is a truly special one to me. The effect created by the dirty old window is brilliant, I love the light patches it creates on the man passing by...great compo with that door and the sign as a bonus. A very strong mood comes out of it. I'd agree with bantonbuju about straigthening the door but I think you've left it on purpose no ? Life is hardly made of straight lines...and nature is not...
Thanks
Have a great week
Michèle
