Photographer's Note
ok, ok, a crooked house, some laundry and then some wires ;) there was not enough space to write it all in the title field. otherwise, i just could not resist jumping out of my car and taking a shot of this "fat-man" and his little cousin on my way home from work last night. hope you enjoy this typical new england sight too.
regards,
kristaps
ps. the optical effect on the house is due to my wide angle lense.
pps. the saturated colors in the foto are literally unchanged from how they came from my camera. i only adjusted the levels slider slightly to correct for the minor underexposure i had intentionally used.
as a matter of fact, fall colors in this area are extremely intense ranging from yellow to almost pitch black (red-black). i was also lucky to drive by the tree just at the moment when the evening sun hit it "right on" resulting in the color radiance you see.

Hi Kristaps, what a sky! I really like the lines converging on the red maple (?) tree, the hanging clothes being a nice detail and the house balancing the composition.
Cheers
Alexander
PS Do you like this lens? I'm thinking of buying one...

love the contrast between the brigt red of the tree and vivid blue of the sky, it gives the scene a very cheerful feeling - perfect autumn day :) and I definetly like the wide angle effect that emphasises the perspective and just draws the eye into the photo. well done :)

Hello Kristaps! Again this "maple red" that I love so much :) I like the effect that makes the wide angle lense, it somehow gives a stormy feeling that suits the fall mood very much in my opinion. I hope their laundry dried in the late fall sun, at least it made your catch very much alive, giving the feeling that someone actually lives there. This is all very good. Take care, Barbara.
PS. I think I might have some fall pictures to show ... but the truth is that I am on a little vacation in our weekend home and that I have not all the necessary tools to work on my pictures, but as we return on Sunday I might have some photos ready to go on-line by Wednesday or so depending how it goes at work :))))))))

Hi Kristaps.
The autumn was back with its explosions of amazing colors. You had the chance for this one to combine these superb colors with a great quality of light and a very scenic sky in the background.
Thanks for sharing!

Hey Kistaps,
10mm ultra-wide angle! Besides the amazing striking colour the image has, the dramatic breadth and perspective makes more than pull but a strong umphhh as well! You have created a truly creative composition...radiant and very sharp quality!
Have a good one dude!

Hi Kristaps,
Yours is my new fall-tree-favorite of the year. I agree, the light is perfect!! The tree has turned completely with no brown leaves into a red-gold fireball and it is set in a forest of color. The clouds seem to continue the explosion of color with their lovely contrast. As Barbara says, that little line of clothes adds a perfect detail. I planted two maples of this color this fall, although I'm sure I'll never see them grow to this size, it's nice to think that someday they could look like this. I wonder what the age of this tree could be.

Bonjour Kristaps,
des couleurs qui flashent.
On les devine accentuées mais cela ne dérange vraiment pas, ces teintes chaudes ressortent tellement dans les beaux bleus du ciel.
La photo trahit l'emploi d'une focale très courte.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Awesome, Kristaps!
The light truly seems to irradiate from that big old tree... Wonderful lines in the sky, wonderful colors, perfect timing in catching this shot.
And thanks for adding me to your faves. I greatly appreciate.
You have a great day, buddy.

I like the autumn colors here, perhaps a little too satured, no? Nice contrast with the blue sky.

Hi Kristaps.Serendipity strikes at the oddest times and for us who love taking photos, it's often while we are in a car and often when one cannot stop because of the traffic. No such problem here. You had the time to capture a brilliant scene, a bright colour and light show. The cloud formations, the power lines and your wide lens have created an impression of movement- an interesting impression. Regards. Klaudio.

DEfinitly stuning colors. Warm reds as oposite to cold blue sky make this photo really nice one. Good composiion.
Some small nuisance (wire, laundry) don't change anything.
It is simply stunning photo.

Hi Kristaps, this is not the first time i see this picture, and each time same feeling : beautiful one !!
With a wide angle this works very well, this picture talks a lot to me, this red of leaves is amazing and i've never seen that. Your PP work is really high class, this seems so real
All my congratulations

Hello Kristaps,
Love the effect you have created with the wide angle lens. It is good to see some expirmentation on Trek. The wispy blue sky really makes this tilted presentation work as it appears to move with the lean to the house and tree as it make a beautifully color contrast to the brilliant fall colors. I'm glad you have noted how bright autumn colors are in this part of the world because I have been accused of over saturating them, also get the same unbeliving remarks about the spring green of New England.
Regards, Tom

What a great photo! It brings back a lot of great memories of growing up in Massachusetts... there's nothing else quite like autumn in New England...
My eyes are particularly drawn to the house behind the tree -- the shadows, the leaves, and the clothes line fit together beautifully. Thank you for bringing back such lovely memories from my childhood!

Hi Kristaps,
While I like your latest too, I think this is more successful. Perspective distortion of wide angle is less apparent. Lines of clouds seem to suck the viewer into this very vibrant and saturated scene. Even the lazn is full of autumn reds.

Hi Kristaps,
it's impossible, unreal...you colorized this one, didn't you? Ok, ok, you don't need to answer me...I can imagine how beautiful is that area of planet in that season. You've got the most beautiful red a tree can provide. Man, I don't care about wires, laundry, etc, nobody cares. It's just about this great presentation of nature and of yours too :) Well done!

Carlos
