Photographer's Note
Sorry for the rip-off of a popular song. And in fitting with the celebrity of the Sundance Film Festival that is going on currently, I thought this image from the Sundance area was fitting.
Sundance Resort is located about 15 minutes northeast of Provo, Utah, and lately has been covered in beautiful powder snow, for which our state is famous. The air temperatures have been very cold, so the snow stays crystallized and makes an enchanted world out of almost anything.
I doubt this scene would be interesting in any other season, and yet it typifies the land this time of year. I feel sorry for the poor animal that left the footprints, as food must be hard to come by under this cold blanket of white.

Hi Dana,
This is the first time I've had the pleasure to see some of your photos, and they're spectacular. This shot is very well composed considering the snow. I also like the composition. It is aptly titled.
Kindest regards,

Nice. Would like to see the tip of the shadow to the left. Great exposure keeping detail in the snow.
