Our license plate says "Best Snow On Earth" and I would agree. The new season is starting, the lifts are running.

I like the photo. The clouds at the top are a little distracting to the mountains in the background.

Hello Dana,

Your winter scene is unique with clouds at top of frame. Huge mountains are stunning with green trees. Lights on ridges, dark part of clouds and partially blue sky are adding great value to your frame. Congratulations.

Wonderful mountain shot! I like the golden tones from the evening light, adding some warmth to the normally blue snow. Great sense of texture too. Well done!

Hi Dana,

It's superb the outcome in this shot. The golden light over the white snow, the trees forming these irregular lines and colors spots, mixed with the clouds and the blue sky. Two things I like very much: the pano format, and the goldened light! Thanks. Best wishes,

looks pretty cool :) i like huge mountains and in this case covered little bit by cloudes are a great invitation for winter season

Hi Dana,
I would say: let's photography..!!!
This scenery is awesome and a real challence for some fantastic winter scenes. So forget the skies and the boards, bring your D200 ;-)
That tiny bit of blue is just enough to bring this picture more to life in combination with the spreads of sunshine on the mountain...wonderful.

Very frightening, and yet very beautiful mountainscape. Gold colour of sun bringt the warm to this beautifull scene.

This photo makes a good case for the claim on your licencse plate. Excellent composition, and equisite exposure -- as usual.

Regards from an area that cannot make such a claim about its snow, but can about its history. This is the 400th Anniversary of the settlement of Virginia, and the birth throes of the United States.

This is a great shot and captures the scene very well - it's a bit red though - a little unrealistic - I can really see it in the clouds, but hill side looks nice - is it a sunrise/sunset? Nicely seen and captured,
