Photographer's Note
If you dont like walking and hiking in the heat by chance (or are little bit lazy:), you can use this "mule taxi" to get into the Canyon.
Mule trips have to be however booked in advance, beacuse the waiting list is so loooong.. :)
There are some restrictions: mule riders must not weigh more than 91 kg, fully dressed, must be at least 140 cm in height, should not be afraid of heights or large animals. If you satisfy all this conditions, lets go! :)
To be honest, i felt sorry when i saw this animals, "working" so hard in that intense heat..
But one rider explained me and said "this working realtionship between people and animal is beautiful, we work together to maintain the trail and keep each other in business"...
:)

Hello Veronika,
Gorgeous scene in this mountains. Although I do not like the rays in the left superior part, there are other very interesting details. I like the POV and frame. Good colors and definition.
Thanks and best wishes

Hi Vero,
It sounds like a jordanian picture this one ... i hope almost same kind of picture from Jordan, with donkeys :) waow 91 kgs, i would have been just under ! ;)
don't worry for donkeys, they are very strong, and yes it's a good relationship between human and animals, natural ways ....
Good one Vero, just difficult to manage the light coming from high left side ;)
Have a good day princess lemon :)

Vero, the light flares give the image a strong feel of a western movie. It feels like the colonization of a strange land other than a commercial expedition. Thanks for sharing!

It could be a landscape from South Morocco , the kasbah route dominated by the red colour , steep countryside and fantastic light that in your picture turns little rainbow beams in a perfect diagonal , illuminating the scenary and emphasizing the composition in colour, shadows , even being able to breath and cough that dust and feel salty sweat . The picture is very nice adding to the context human and animal elements that benefit the richness of what's portraited
many kisses niña guapa (with or without yellow ) :)

A good add for your Grand Canyon series, Vero, again continuing to snow a lesser-seen impression on what it feels like to actually do a trek down into the valley. A good storytelling photo with the group of four-legged taxis going around the bend - compositionally speaking this is good, as it immediately pulls the viewer's attention into the scene. You really used the harsh light as a friend on this one, the effect with the sunbeams entering from above is quite nice and surprising.

Hi Veronika - this is one of those rare cases where the lens flare actually makes a positive contribution to the image, I like it.

Hi Veronika,
I love your moody image and your compo is really great.
Maybe just a little overexposed but really doesn't affect the general sight.
A smile for a nice week end!
