Photographer's Note
art show: 3
As I stood around the art piece that looked like paper thrown on the floor, I waited for someone with this expression to come by.
It was a very strange collection of people, the young artists and the older money-ied buyers and appreciators. I thought it was an interesting mix.

You got the face as you wanted it, but I think you needed somehow to include the artwork as well to make this work.

Lovely picture and note, makes me wonder over your destiny....I mean, how did you end up there??? ;o)
A well caught expression in that face and it goes well with the outfit. Your compo with a large negative space is very useful here. But as Greg says, the picture lacks the connection to modern art. Except maybe for the social arts of mingling at cocktail parties. A skill I think we both need to practise more judging from our comments. Pity it is so boring ;o)

I agree with this comment...however, I do think this is good with the inclusion of your note...I am a little troubled to have the woman behind...she takes away some of the impact of your prizewinning subject's facial expression! these things cant be helped however and I can see that you seized the moment...better luck next time dude...
Again, I like the cold colours...representative of a place like this...

Oh, this is lovely! Brilliant framing...very atmospheric. Tells of private conversation in a hushed intimate tone, of sad news or of rampant scandal...whichever one wants to believe in. Very nice use of the tilt.

very interesting shot. The off-centerness definitely grabs the attention. Intersting expression!

I like it. Its actually similar to a concept I did months ago and posted to TE. The point was that in a gallery, we ourselves can become art. Why not? Today theres really no limit on the definition of what is art...it seems that if its in a gallery space, its art..so here you are turning a spectator of art into art itself. Proving that anything can be art..provided theres a white gallery wall anywhere near it:)

one can read $$ everywhere but the useful negative space behind them.
and, you know, the one in the background is "absent", the other is looking downwards!
oh, and "the art of carryig purses" as if they were not there...
There is so much to be interpretd here.
Smart composition, Brady, really!
congratulations
