Photographer's Note
Every landscape on this earth poses an unlikelihood and forms a single moment, a place that will later be gone.
The Grand Canyon seems to be permanent with its colossal cliffs and temples, certainly more everlasting than our quick lives...
But permanence does not explain the Grand Canyon´s existence. Change does.
Layer by layer, the Grand Canyon reveals what happend in the past and maybe one day the Caynon will have eventually more layers.
But this is the future, and the future is hard to tell. The one certain thing is that the Grand Canyon will be gone...
If you are confused by all of this, dont feel bad..
We humans only live for 70, maybe 100 yeras.
To grasp millions of years exceeds our ability. Perhaps that is why people come here.
We can see in this place that a million years is as tangible as a single day..
This picture is dedicated to beloved person, who is gone.. But i hope from the bottom of my heart that she can see this from somewhere.

Hola Veronika.
Has obtenido muy interesantes colores en tu foto, la luz del sol provoca un juego de luces y sombras muy bien logrados. Me gusta mucho tu POV. Esta muy bien captada, tiene una perspectiva y profundidad estupenda.
Felicitaciones.
Siento mucho la perdida de una persona que se ve has querido mucho.

The note is so impressive and moving ,revealing a great style , perfect skill to turn into words deepest sensations , fantastically written and creating emotions that even with those marvellous colours (never get tired of them ,i can look at tones of images like that and in each one you see aroused new feelings , the colours , what a colours ...) Yo brindo(cheer up) porque vivamos hasta casi los 100 años (and we really "live " this life , sometimes some of ud died without having lived . Long life(lived, living and liveable ) to our dulce Vero ;)

Another beautiful image of the GC. And your note is quite right, we don't have the ability to understand things that change that fast, in millions of years, a very hard to grasp concept.
Very good job showing the contrast of the different layers on the mountains and playful shadows.
Best regards,
Enrique

Hi Veronika.
Beautiful note, explains how this thing is fragile, even in terms of milion years. And explains how we as humans are much more fragile, as human race didn't exist yet when the structure was created.
Great colours and woderful POV.
take care, Aleks

Hello Veronika,
You take amazing landscape photos and I should re-visit. I have been to the Grand Canyon many years ago - before the advent of digital camera. I love the colors and exposure here. I wonder how it would look if the focus were on the foreground and with smaller aperture. Best wishes - Danilo

Hi Veronika.
You really managed to capture a great light on this mythic Grand-Canyon. It's maybe the first time I see it like this (but I'm not expert of this area...). Your choice of composition is quite original and interesting.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Veronika. The reds are amazing as is the saturation wherever I look. It almost looks like you had a polarizer here but you're not listing one. I like your note too. Fantastic work Veronika!

You are right about this "We can see in this place that a million years is as tangible as a single day.." in your comment. I agree with this. You have a marvelous collection of Grand Canyon pictures. Redness is sharp in your pictures. Good one.

Great shot of a great place. Splendid colours and good contrasts with the different shadow areas (I assume it was a low sun at the moment you shot it). Well done.
Nice of you to dedicate this to a beloved person.
