Photographer's Note

Taken at the Fort Christmas museum in Christmas Florida. This area was a forward outpost during the Seminole Indian wars during the 1830s. The fort is a replica, but many of the houses that are on the property are early Florida homes that were relocated to this site for the museum. As you can see shade was a must in the hot semi-tropical sun. Today 94 degrees with 100 percent humidity. Sitting on the porch you could feel the cool breezes as the light wind blew. When the thunderstorms arrive in the afternoons, a welcome relief comes from the heat. Some days the temperature could reach 68 degrees for a few minutes. I will post more in the coming days. Christmas is located between Orlando and Titusville on the coast.

Gave image a sepia treatment for a nostalgic effect.
