Photographer's Note
The shot is much sharper and clearer in the larger format, by right clicking on the photo.
Its been a while since i've posted a new photo, too long to be honest.
Here is a shot of one of my favorite subjects...Blue Hour lighting in the evening hours, and bridges. Aswell as using a long exposure...this one is 2.5 seconds long - that's why the flag at the top is blurred, and the water along the bottom is silky.
These bridges in Manhattan are just so photogenic, I can't get enough of them. I settled down with my tripod and enjoyed every moment of this photo shoot.
Hope you enjoy this Brooklyn Bridge shot, with the Manhattan Bridge in the bg too.

Wonderful blue-hour picture from the famous bridge in NYC.
Long shutter superbly managed, and the POV is most intriguing.

Hi Craig,
this is amazing. I am glad you show something again Craig. Excellent quality work. Yes I can imagine the place offers amazing photo opportunities. Bridges are so interesting to photograph at the blue hour!
You mentioned it to be the Manhattan Bridge, which is I suppose correct because we see the Manhattan Bridge further away behind the Brooklyn Bridge.
Looking forward for you to return to TE,
M

Hello Craig,
Thanks for your comments earlier. It's nice to see you back. I understand your son keeps you busy, but I also thought you had left the site for good, like so many others.
This photo is fairly typical of your style. I would have recognized it anywhere. Blue hour, a bridge or an impressive building and a very eye-catching composition. These wooden bollards (or whatever) provide a great foreground, almost like an unusual sculpture show. And I love the lights on the second bridge.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hi Craig,
Two bridges for the price of one - that's got to be good value. Interesting composition with the old piers in the foreground and the focus on one of the towers of the Brooklyn Bridge. The Manhattan Bridge looks good in the background, with its pleasing curves outlined by the lights.

HI Craig,
The scene is impressive. Using a tripod and a slow exposure time is showing yhe details of the bridges. The blue hour light has a spoecial effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig,
How good to see you back on TE. I was beginning to wonder if something serious had happened!
Yes, I do like your photograph!
The illuminated bridges, following opposing lines, make exciting features against the blue hour sky.
I'm also attracted by misty effects in the water, created by your long exposure; it makes the wooden posts seem as if they are rising from the water.
Keep safe,
Bev :-)

Hello Craig, great to see you again.
Superb depth and layering here with the fg pylons then the Brooklyn Bridge and further back the more modern suspension bridge. Good sharpness and wonderful warm cold colour contrasts. Tfs!

Hello Craig,
I understand that a child takes a lot of time and it is given with much pleasure. Meanwhile, your son is already 18 months!
But we had wondered if you would still find the time for TE.
Would there be more after the hundredth photo of India or not?
The bridges between Manhattan and Brooklyn also impressed me.
Here you present us a splendid picture of both bridges. Excellent composition in the vertical format. Wonderful blue hour capture.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Craig,
Good to see you have a new post (and critiques too) here! What a great place for a blue hour shot on the edge of the river and famous bridges as a main subject. Long exposure gives smooth appearance to water. Lights of bridges are lovely.

Hello Craig, I was already very worried that you didn't p[osted anything on TE, but neither on FB or Instagram. I even wanted to write to you and ask if everything is OK. I am happy that it is OK. Well, the small kid changes everything. First of all, the priorities are different. And what is the situation in the hospital you work? Marvellous blue hour composition. I like the use of these poles in the foreground. Colours and sharpness fantastic.
As to my trip to Africa. My son found such an opportunity and asked if maybe I would join him and my granddaughter. Till the last moment I didn't know if it would be possible, The rules are changed sometimes in a day. But it was all legal and easy. Tanzania doesn't make tests. For the first time, I travelled with Ada. And my son paid for my luxury hotels:). I had a great time.

Hi Craig.
Spectacular and beautiful composition, with this perspective from below the Brooklyn Bridge, while in the background we see the Manhattan Bridge, with the lights of the night but with the sky still a beautiful blue.
Very good color that increases the attractiveness of the image.
Superb brightness and sharpness management, to enjoy the details.
Well seen and done. I like it.
Have a nice day.
Very best regards.

Hello Craig,
It's nice to see you make a return with an NYC view. :-) I like how you used the wooden pylons in the foreground; they really add to the atmosphere. It's always nice to see the Brooklyn Bridge, too. Take care!
