The Millennium Monument at Wrigley Square is a nearly full-sized replica of a peristyle that originally stood on the same location at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Randolph Street between 1917 and 1953.

Designed by Cannon Design (formerly OWP/P), its 40-foot columns are built from of Indiana limestone and its base from French limestone. In appreciation of Millennium Park’s 122 Founders, their names are engraved into the base of the Monument. Each name represents a private donor who supported the design and construction of the Park and continues to support the curation of the Park’s art and architecture.

In 2017, the Millennium Monument underwent a restoration to include enhanced LED color-changing lighting, new pre-cast concrete elements, and new pavers for the fountain plaza at its base.
