Photographer's Note

Heading into the Tonto National Forest from the end of Elephant Butte Road, Queen Valley, the trail follows Mill Ranch Creek. While it wasn't flowing (its usual condition), there were still pools of water from the storms generated by Hurricane Rosa 4 days previous. It's such a unique situation I couldn't resist the opportunity to try some reflection photographs.

The unnamed trail eventually connects with the Coffee Flat Trail - a trail well worth hiking as the views of the central valleys and mountains of the Superstition Wilderness are amazing. If you want to try this entrance, a high clearance vehicle is essential.
