Midtown Manhattan, or simply Midtown, is a geographic area of Manhattan, New York City. It is home to some of the city's tallest and most famous buildings, such as the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building. It also contains world-famous commercial zones such as Rockefeller Center, Broadway, and Times Square. This is a view of the skyline from the East River side.

Shadows tell me that this was an afternoon shot over town, Jason.
Fine horizontal crop, good clarity and of course the vibrant city skyline's.

Oh I remember this view very well!
I was here last year, and loved every moment of it!
this is a classic style of composition, a perfect postcard type.
the only thing is that i'd like it to be larger! :)

Hi Jason,
I always appreciate a good skyline, so I will sit and enjoy this for a few minutes.

What really grabs me in this is that you have gotten such icons here such as the empire state and Chrysler buildings, but they are just part of the group, and are not the stars of the show. The stars for me here are those tall brown buildings on the left, I've never seen them before, and they are cool looking buildings. The kid inside me sees these as alien ships marching across the city, especially as they seem to be in perfect formation and have what could be weapons bearing arms on the upper sides.

I'd sit for ages spotting buildings in this scene and seeing how many I could name
. I'm a big long distance fan of this beautiful city :)
