This is more of me resetting my photographers clock. It was a beautiful 55 degrees F and I was alone except for my friend shown in the workshop, I honestly didn't even hear any birds chirping.

No birds chirping ? Well, it really looks like a very quite place.
Well composed picture. I like the trunk in the water and its perfect reflection.
The green reflected in the water is really beautiful.
Also the bit of fog on the water makes it a little mysterious. So you've chosen a good title for the picture.

Hello Greg,

Nice ambiance on this photo with the sleeping fog above the quiet water.
I think this photo could be more efficient by a little panoramic crop, cutting the bottom just at the limit of the reflection of the lonely branch. A try to do.

I think this one is even better than the previous post, I really like the luminous green and fog above the water, the result is dreamy, like a fairy tale land. the symmetry also works very well, I find it adds to the calm mood of the scene. nice one :)

This place looks like it has been deserted for a long time, so peaceful and quiet. Excellent reflection on the very calm water. The light fog above the water looks really nice and gives a slight difference in color from the forrest green and brown.
The tree branch also adds.

This shot has real atmosphere.
There is silence.

The luminous tones of the green suggests a deep wood and the reflections are amazing.

Is that mist rising from the water?
It all adds to the atmoshere!

Like the preceding one, this photograph is absolutely superb. You captured an authentic environment of nature. I like amongst other things, the dead tree which makes think of a monster of another time. The reflection, the trees, the colors, the sober light, this small trunk of orange color, all contributes to the beauty of the composition. Excllente realization and contribution. Congratulations.

Another new take on reflections that produce a strange effect with an aura of mystery. I really like the intense colors of forest green and white veil that seems to emerge from the water vapor. Good job!

Hi Greg,
It's so nice to be able to take a moment and really be by yourself, this image does really provide that essence of absolute calmness and sense of tranqility. Beautiful nature, the morning light really accentuate the freshness of the green leaves and the reflection doubled it. The WS is quiet a joy and a nice little surprise to see the local residence hard at work or just taking it easy. Hope you find some inpiration here and back to your old self. We all need a little break sometimes and recharge. Have good week, I may be too busy in the next couple days, getting ready for a one week trip to the Grand Canyon and that general area. Take care.

Hello Greg,

A virgin forest is a rare sight in many countries these days, even here in Norway with our scarce population!
And this is the real thing, never touched by humans and where the trees die standing...
The fairytale atmosphere is well recorded!

Hi Greg,
All that green reflected on the water is apparent from the thumbnail, so I was expecting a beautiful photo, but it was still a very nice surprise discovering how wonderful it is, with a magical light and that thin fog over the water. 55 deg F is a bit chilly for my taste, specially in summer, but I think I would forget that in the presence of such beauty and calm.

This is a peaceful scenery. The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The distance between the tree in the water and the shore is giving depth to the scene. The light is giving a good contrast to the colors. have a nice day.
