Photographer's Note
The amount of color in the vegetation that can be found in this dry area of the country is simply amazing. I found this cluster of color just waiting for me.

Superb fine art Grand Canyon landscape. This image has what most GC images lack... great foreground interest. It is hard to compose images with a lot of foreground when taking pictures of The Canyon and folks are often so awestruck that it completely slips their mind. Outstanding composition!
That 17-40 f/4L is a terrific lens and the ND filter helped flatten the lighting exceptionally well to bring out detail across the entire image.

Hello Michael!
Wonderful picture, full of textures, shapes and colors!
Soft light truly pleases me in here!
Vertical format was a great choice to include all those interesting elements, so well composed in this image! The Grand Canyon at its best, for sure!
TFS - Congratulations!

Hi Michael,
Nice GC capture, I didn't think there were many great shots left, but you certainly got one. Tremendous control of the light, composition and overall sharpness. Congratulations!

Hi Michael,
I like this shot, it's nice to see some vegetation included as well as the typical canyon shot. The close in detail, and the multiple canyon walls visible also give it a layered sense of depth which I think works well. The sky's also beautiful and really reflects the colours of the canyon walls nicely.
Cheers
Simon

Man, these landscapes of yours must look fantastic as large prints. I'm always amazed at how much subtle colour and fine texture come through in spite of the compression of the posting.
