Photographer's Note

Sol Duc falls is a beautiful triple waterfall. Except this time when I visited, there was enough water in the river to make it a four channel waterfall! The falls is at the end of about a 1.5KM walk through an area that is very close to being a rain forest. I don't know if it meets the requirements of precipitation, but the trees, the moss, and the mosquitoes sure would point to rain forest!

The falls are viewed from a wooden bridge built over the river, so the vantage point is almost vertical. Since I was here last, a large tree has fallen and jammed into the channel, make a vertical shot less attractive.

If you love waterfalls, don't miss this one!
