Photographer's Note
Capt. Clarence E. Dutton and John Wesley Powell explored this area in the 1870s and gave it many places names. Dutton's report gave the name Pink Cliffs to the Claron Formation. Paiute names include Paunsaugunt, place or home of the beavers; Paria, muddy water or elk water; Panguitch, water or fish; and Yovimpa, point of pines. Emissaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latte-day Saints who built communities in Utah displaced the Paiutes. In 1875 Ebenezer Bryce came to the Paria Valley to live and to harvest plateau timber. Neighbors called the canyon behind his home Bryce's Canyon.

Hello Zbigniew
It looks like the remains of an ancient desert city from this pov. Magical place, fine capture. Have a good weekend.

Bonjour Zbigniew,
Quelle belle cathédrale naturelle. L'oeuvre de la nature ici dépasse largement celle de l'homme. Tu étais là à l'heure parfaite car les ombres sont bien contrôlées.
Bon samedi

Hello Zbigniew,
This is a stunning place, from its limited colour palette, its dramatic natural sculptures, its proud character and its sense of isolation. Who could not stand here and marvel!
You have composed the scene very well, using the rocks on the left to create a sense of depth, a well positioned pathway for guidance and the tallest features nicely off-centre.
A glorious photograph!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Zbigniew,
Very wild landscape. Those rocks have very sharp edges, and climate must be quite dry, there's very little green around there. Sidelight gives contrasty result.
