Photographer's Note
So here we have another photo taken from Bryce Canyon National Park.
This was a scene from our Navajo Trail Hike, there are so many of these rock formations you could take hundreds of photos.
I hope the lighting translates ok with this photo, it was such a superb day for hiking and the Canyon Rocks lit up like Christmas Trees.
As I mentioned before it was -20 Degrees outside but with the sunlight and the warmth of exercise it wasn't all that bad.
I'll post 2 WS photos with Me in them, just to show the scale and size perspective. Normally I would have posted pictures with other people, but there was only 1 other person on the entire trial the whole time.
Hope you like this one

Hello Craig ,
What a fabulous place ! Hiking there in winter with this perfect weather ( a little cold for my taste) must be a great experience .
A superb view of the peak here , with a superb effect of the polarized sky . I like especially the WS 1 , too .
the kind of place where you can take pictures at each step ...
Best regards .
PS : As you say , I'm looking for the best lights . I've made the same walk twice , but the pictures taken early in the morning where much attractive .

Hello Craig,
Both pictures in the workshop do show the scale very well. The sights are awesome. On all pictures I like the contrasts between the blue sky, the snow and the warm brown tones of the rocks.
The sharp peaks of these rocks are really remarkable.
Don't tell us that you came down the snowy slope we see here on the main picture :)
Impressive presentation in the vertical format.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Craig,
I don't suppose this was the peak where you took that last dare-devil photo? It looks dangerous in any case but fantastic from this presumably safe POV. I like the composition of three mainly diagonal areas of intensely dark blue, ochre and white. It's a fascinating scenery and of course it is perfectly exposed. The "Little Me" workshop gives us another great view of this fantastic part of the world.
Best wishes,
Gert

Ciao Craig
Saluti

Hi Craig
This is a great series you're giving us, thanks. It's a beautifully taken shot worthy of your effort climbing up and most rewarding adventure and you had a fabulous shots the way you've caught them, probably once in a life time. Breathtaking scenery of this beautiful park with the contrast of the fiery colors of the rock and the white snow, just love the clarity and feeling of purity in this. The snow really makes this... Fabulous shots, your extra images are real bonus too, Congrats.
Best wishes

Hi Mac,
This is a unique series of picture from your side showing the top snow capped mountains with very good lighting and composition. I like it.
PS :- The barbers get paid more than their normal fee on the banks since this is a special occasion for any pilgrim at the holy ghats of Ganges.

Hello Craig,
Superb colours and clarity for this delightful mountain scene. I like very much the balance between the three elements and the excellent textural detail to be observed in that beautifully coloured rock face.

Bonjour Craig,
Amicalement

Hello Craig,
Each new photograph shows us the beauty and the scale of this amazing place. Nature is a wonderful sculptor!
You have three colours and what impact they have as we follow them across the frame!
I can't help thinking that the w/s looks as if you are looking over a city of skyscrapers!
It must have been amazing!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Craig.
Impressive these steep red rocks, which appear as straight out of a story, in which we were to imagine, is an impregnable castle, I lovely contrast with the whiteness of the snow.
Excellent POV, with very good lighting, color and sharpness to enjoy the details.
Very good work. I like it
Enjoy a happy Sunday.
Best regards.

Hi Craig,
I do remember that my photos from Bryce where I used polarizer at the top end setting produced similarly dark blue sky. Now I would rather tone it down a tiny bit. For some reason wide angles in vertical don't need even polarizer and they get quite polarized effect :) I don't know if you have noticed.
Nevertheless it is a spectacular view from this amazing place. I like how well you have exposed the snow so that we can see its texture. Lovely composition with unearthly rock formation and extraordinary colors.
I like it very much,
M

Hello Craig
The hot colours of the exposed red rocky butte contrast well with the clear blue sky to give a sublime warm cold color contrast. Good sharpness and a terrific upward pov on the weathered and interesting geological formation or hoodoo. The exposure on the snow is just perfect. You would love Cappadocia in Turkey if you liked Bryce. Tfs!

Hi Craig
A pleasant presentation of this wonderful landscape. I really like the contrast between the rock formation and the deep blue sky. As an apropos to this lovely winter picture, did you know they`re filming parts of the coming film "The Snowman" in Bergen now, with actors like Val Kilmer and Michael Fassbender. The film are based on the books of the Norwegian writer Jo Nesbø. Well, anyway, a brilliant shot! Thanks.

Hello Craig
Don't know how I managed to miss this one: not wanting to spend all day on TE I suspect! Truly majestic. The portrait format chosen is perfect for emphasizing the stupendous verticality of the subject. Polarizer I assume?
