Photographer's Note
One evening near Bryce Canyon we went to a Rodeo for tourists. It was still pretty dangerous as a few riders were hurt. This cowboy didn't participate because he was already injured.

Bonsoir voisine du soir.
ben il est blessé le cow-boy ! c'est pas un sport sans danger le rodéo. En tout cas tu as choppé un beau profil et son costume de cow-boy est tel qu'on le voit dans les BD. Bravo.

Great shot. I used to teach a couple of cowboys when I lived in Albuquerque. One seemed particularly proud to list all his injuries. When another student asked why he continued bull riding, he just said that in his family it was perfectly logical. It is definitely a way of life. You've captured it well in this image.
Sincerely,
Kate

Hi Nikki,
very interesting shot. Nicely composed with the injured guy on his back and trying to look at you, I guess. The tight framing was well thought and the lighting is quite natural. Well done!

Carlos

Hola Nikki.
Desde luego, uno de esos típicos americanos que todos tenemos en mente si señor. Qué pena que estuviera lesionado.
Un saludo!
PD: Bueno, bueno, estais muy "gallitos" en la Liga...ya caereis!

Hi Nikki,
I like the way he stands and its good the way you have captured him from behind and looking to the side instead of a full frontal portrait. I like that his blue colouring of his clothing matches the poles. As you say, I think that it can be very dangerous sport.

Good morning, Nikki! Oh how funny - or maybe not so funny - but I loved your title :))) Not only brave men but also sometimes "grounded" when they rode too wild. Well observed, I find these things are the treasures of a rodeo, so many things to photograph, almost too many, I was a little confused in the end. Yes we had kids riding on sheep, very cute and funny. I have some pictures but they are soso lala. Great shot, Nikki, I really like this. Have a wonderful weekend, Barbara.

Salut Nikki,
avec cette pose, il a un petit côté Brokeback Mountain tu ne trouves pas? Un portrait réussi en tout cas.

Hello Nikki,
This shot should make some cowboy loving ladies going "Gaga". He seems almost posing for you with the way he stand proud yet elegant. I imagine Rodeo rider to be rougher looking. He looks rather well groom with fine feature. Good shot.

Hi Nikki, after seeing Barbara's (Baba_Flies') photos of the rodeo, I'm still recovering from the testosterone attack. So was very happy to see more. Your cowboy looks very pensive - a thinking man's cowboy - probably wondering how he came to break his arm :) I like how you;ve cropped the image, the side profile portrait is excellent, as is the sharpness. Those earthy colours against the blues look great too. TFS, looks like another cold shower for me :) Warm regards, Lisa.
