Denver Cityscape, a photo from Colorado, West

Photographer's Note

A Fall shot of Denver in early November 2008. A clear blue sky & the Autumn yellows just about at their peak. I liked how the trees framed this at either side. Denver is known as the mile high city, and it is indeed a little hard to breathe if you've just flown in from sea level, The good news is it only takes a day or two to acclimatize to the altitude. Taken with my old film camera using Fuji 100 or 200 iso film, & polarized.

The trees are framing well the buildings. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the buildings. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

A very beautiful and colourful cityscape. I particularly like your POV which shows the fine differing faces of the buildings in the centre, giving wonderful depth. The greenery adds a great extra touch of colour too.

so we're back in the ol' film days with this one eh?!
I remember, it took me forever to transfer over to digital - I was very stubborn.
this one is a beauty.
just look at all those colors.
In a way its similar to your China shots with the illuminated colorful lights - sort of lol
very bright and full of a painters pallete of colors.
love seeing these inner city shots and views.

You show us what is, for me, quite an unexpected rural aspect to the city. It gives a pleasing introduction, via the autumnal trees, to the tall, expected skyscrapers.
A fine exposure, clear and with a good dof.
