Photographer's Note
In Yosemite, the way some of the trees cling to seemingly impossible environments is quite amazing. It’s another example of nature’s incredible tenacity. This tree’s location and the conditions it has to endure appear to have severely stunted its growth but it survives all the same.
This picture, although it was originally taken just as a holiday snap, appealed to me enough to want to post it. I liked the gnarled appearance of the tree and the strong contrast between the colours of the trunk and the foliage.
Kind regards,
Tony
