Photographer's Note
Washington state is well known for its weather, (mainly cloudy, over-cast days). It is also one of the states with highest numbers of those who need mental health help.

You have truly captured a mood of despair. A poet could not have said it better. Choice of Black and White adds to the feeling. Nicely done...
Cheers!

years ago I had to spend many many weeks in a hospital, waiting, outside my father's room. I remember the desolation, the desperation at times, and the loneliness of all of those who were, like me, waiting.
the three persons, unconnected, physically apart, convey the atmosphere in a respectful, non-intruding way. the man's (or woman's) gesture of hiding his/her face with the hands speaks by itself.
good shot, I like it.

Tremendous capture. Strong composition, tells it like it is. Jancsi

Hi Don,
This is sombre but a telling tale, and one we should see more here amongst the pretty postcard shots. There is power in the everyday images you present, they are normal, yet artful, and sadly this kind of scene is all too normal. I work with many people with mental health and drug issues, and it is quite an issue here in Australia too.
Cheers

Another great image, very well captured. The out of focus scene in the background perfectly fills the sharp foreground.
