This Lone Cypress reminded me one of the most popular song by Elton John; “I’m still standing!”

It could also apply to all of us, who in spite of technical issues are still around and still share our photos from around the world. I always mention the maps being my favourite aspect of TrekEarth, but the international community of TrekEarth members is definitely one of its greatest advantages. Sometimes I get 20 comments under my photos and almost every comment is coming from a different country! We are so different and yet we have the same passion: TrekEarth.

Lone Cypress is one of the most popular spots along the 17 Mile Drive with is a road along the coast of the Monterey Peninsula, which marks the northern end of Big Sur, probably the most dramatic fragment of Californian Coast.
