Good morning, Sun, a photo from Arizona, West

Photographer's Note

The morning was bitter cold and windy along the rim, but seeing the sun come up over the Canyon from this awesome spot was well worth it.
Sunrise is a slow affair at the Grand Canyon and it was wonderful to see how the volcanic yellow light wash it all around..

Hi Veronika, it's funny that today we have similar title and shot!
amaizng one, with a beautiful cloudy sky and a strong sun light.

Hi, Vero. Next time very nice. Though last one was better to my taste. Probably, coz there is too big black part...maybe cropp it a little? Though the sky, this lightened clouds are great.

Great picture highly contrasted, between the clouds / sky and the roof ... i love the hard last rays of light shinning from the sun but what i prefer are those clouds, so sharps, the sky is very rich of color variations ... congratulations :))

I am not really sure of what I missed more,you or your photos..

It is a wonderful comp..You managed the light perfectly,creating a fine balance between the light of the sunrise and the darkness of the shadows.Its sharpness and contrast is great..It also have great depth and the colours of the sky combined with the fantastic details of the clouds create a very pleasant view..I will just not agree so much with the frame but this is something totally subjective..Tastes issues..;-)

Anyway..I think it is you that I missed more..Even if I am not still sure..:-P

a classical sunrise but it is so pleasing to look at when it is nicely portrayed. I like those outlines on the right, the sky is splendid. A conforting and cozy moment !

I like the contrast between the sun (and sky) and the dark part of the Grand Canyon.

About the location, it is in Arizona. You can go to Manage and Edit to correct it.
