the Grand Canyon..
Current erosion has been going on for only a few million years and possibly, the land will stop rising someday, maybe in 10 or 15 million years. When we walk into the Grand Canyon, every foot down takes us 30 000 years into past, even millions of years into the past depending on particular rock.. :)
Every turn in the Grand Canyon holds some dramatic change. That´s why the Canyon projects a different look with every glance..

This picture was taken from the helicopter.. :)
I made a helicopter trip above the Canyon and it was one of the most beautiful and unforgettable experiences for me.. It´s difficult to describe it with words,, it was 100x more than just amazing..
My advice - do not leave Grand Canyon whithout making helicopter trip!! :)

A wonderful bird's eye view. The image is of a very good quality ... sharp with nice colours and textures. Great light and shadows. Nice work.

Hello Vero, of course it might be a delight as for an experience to make this trip in helicopter !
The shot is so sharp, the POV of course crazy, warm colors of this site, mother nature is so generous :)
The note make us learn more on "history", "every foot down takes us 30 000 years into past" woow :)

Hi Veronika - excellent work, there so many identical looking photos of GC taken from the same viewpoint again and again, usually very nice ones in the mixture, but it is so refreshing to see it from a different and higher perspective.

beautiful photo and great quality for being taken out of a helicopter. my parents took a helicopter ride over the grand canyon when they went last year, and they said it definitely is something not to miss when out there. thanks for sharing.

Another wonderful comp..And very difficult this time..Excellent contrast,colours and lighting..Plus that the stability of the helicopter is not the best possible factor to add to your work..You did just great with this one..Bravo!!

You are quite popular here. The picture is fine. Not as fine as you though.

I've been to both rims. I had wine sitting on the edge late at night. God, it was so quiet I was afraid to fart. The stars were awesome, in their light the ugliest girl would be tempting.

I'll be there again. Not as good as the High Tatras but worth it.

A long time ago I saw a documentary about a person who crossed the Grand Canyon on a hang glider... this is the view that they show most of the time... it has a strong sense of freedom. Will remember your advice!
