Photographer's Note
This shot was taken in 2001 aboard the USS Enterprise. My friend here is obviously welding. What exactly, I don't know. But it was with a Nikon N90s, with a 24-120mm lens, and 200 ISO Fujifilm. No tripod. Probably one of my best on film aboard the carrier. Critiques are welcome, so please enjoy!

I like this picture very much. It is full of power and mystery. One could imagine that the energy for welding comes directly from your friend's eye!
And the piece of metal emits light just like a jewel.
