Extreme Temperature, a photo from Maryland, South

Photographer's Note

Ice formation outside my apartment. This was after the first major snowstorm in Washington DC area this winter. We usually get between 18-22 inches of snow each year but this year has been relatively mild. I used Picasa2 to edit the image. I converted it to grey scale and then created a soft blur. I then used adobe to create the border frame. I posted this for the Winter Hunt - Extreme Temperature. Hope you like it.

This is wonderful! Perhaps you might try to crop this along the vertical and also the bottom a bit? Half of me wanted to see no blur, but then I am not sure...Very interesting subject

i like the photo, the b&w and the drop, but it's a bit unnatural the blur in the upper part. perhaps the square composition could be changed to a landscape one
