Photographer's Note
The anniversary of Charles Darwin's death (April 19 1882)
Quite possibly, a man who had influenced the way we live today and our medicine, our philosophy of life, more than any revolutionist, or conqueror or, leader or, military strategist in the history of the world.
And, he did it without drowning the world in the ocean of blood and the mountains of rotting corpses in the name of..( fill the blank ) ?
Once we are able to establish our roots - we can look at ourselves differently, with more criticism than ever before. We've gained the base for our pride.
We, the thinking people of the world - we don't have to thank ANYONE for our existence.
Forget Jesus, dying on a cross.. Billions of stars and galaxies had to die in a never ending convulsions of the Universe - to give the life on a tiny, lost in space - speckle of dust, a.k.a. Blue Planet, we people call The Earth
We don't have to drop down flat on our faces and beg for forgiveness for never committed sins and, we don't have to beg for mercy on our kness in a total, degrading humiliation, to what will happen to us once we are gone. For, we are the children of the Universe. And, it will stay that way as long as the Universe will carry on.
For, we are the continuously evolving apes. We are taking the control over ourselves.
Move over Yahweh, Mohammad, Zeus, Mitras, Allah, Zen, Thor, Jesus, Ehecatl-Quetzalcoatl, Dionysus, Votan, Buddha, Ra, Shiva…
It's our time to have fun.
Blessing for all of you.

Well hello, hello...what a surprise on TE today!
No yanks, no cranks, but a wide grinning thanks from me. I hope your not offended, my dear, but a shot of Polonaise is what this world needs, let alone this
Trekearth thing.
The planet of the apes is never far away...and you know that's a compliment, really.
Stay sane.

Hi George,
welcome back in your church. Everything became a bit dull here lately, some sparks igniting the grey thinking matter in the skulls will do no harm. Weird photo, if it is a photo, but I´m afraid it´s not, it´s photography, what is not so well regarded here.
Take care, Johannes

Ajaj.. jestes wsrod nas Drogi.. !
Coz to za cudownie ozywcze zdarzenie..:))
wiosna w pelni.. kwiaty kwitna i pachna..
z pozdrowieniami, agn

Hi George,
Thanks for the wonderful note. Very True and inspiring. Some folks on TE suggested me to follow your daily life and so here I am. You have really got some of the most inspiring and out of box shots. About this image its more a painting with a strong composition. The city in the backdrop really looks like a dream, illusion and a mirage. All the people are following the same direction towards the dream.

Tushar

George? Oh...George! I love your pic. Two men walking along the sea. A women far like a mirage of... love? And the seagulls, as witnesses of ...what? Maybe the life? Yes, the life is so: two or three stupid segulls and the sea full of terrible waves!
Bravissimo George! And...my dear? Welcome again here on TE!

Stunning, dramatic portrait. Man, in all his glory, treading the beach in the last light of day, and his architecture, hazy in the background. A surreal, dramy photograph. Thanks, Judy

Hello George,
An intriguing view because of its combination of strange elements, and the excellent use of unsharpness to create a surrealistic atmosphere. Walking on another planet ?

Hi G,
Along with the "saints in desert" and the "dead shark in rome", this one is one of the most surrealistic photos of yours: formerly titled: the planet of the apes. Your interpretation of the subject is clever, your reference to the great revolutionist is thoughtful. Btw, you dislike neatimage, however the processing of this photo is even worse than that :))
Even if it will be less frequent than before, your presence here is wonderful.
Best wishes,
Deniz

George,
Wonderful photo, terrific muted colors and low-key exposure. The soft focus makes it look almost other-worldly. Well, it should, as we are looking into your own special world...
Another favorite for me.
Have a great day,
Reed
