Photographer's Note
I'm not really certain if drowning or awakening actually describes this better. The Artist titled it the Awakening but you could see it as a man drowning in the earth. Anyway, this is really a fascinating piece of sculpture.

Hello Philip
Oh man, if I have ever seen one creepy photo this week it has to be this one.
I always refer to myself as having enough imagination to power the greatest horro show, so when seing this photo and reading the title you may only guess one time what I am thinking!
The B&W version here is great, contrast is used well and the light has a soft touch to it that really brings out all the details.
Thank you for sharing.

Amazing giant, Phillip
Doubtful question, does he sink or does he awaken? But the perspective is nice with his big hand in the foreground and the depth of his face and other arm far away. Good details of texture on the arm and facial expression.
He might crying for help.
