Photographer's Note

Americans are good problem solvers. If you are not allowed to meet in a building for church, why not gather around the parking lot, remain in your car and experience some semblance of togetherness? That is what Bethel Evangelical Presbyterian Church has been doing in Enon Valley. They started out with videocasts from the pastor's parlor with families gathering around their computers in their own homes. However, that did not have a sense of community. When the weather got a little warmer, they purchased an FM transmitter and started holding drive-in services. People can listen to the audio without leaving their cars. However, after the first drive-in service, some people realized the importance of having a new battery if they were going to have their radio on for such long time. Luckily, jumper cables were available and everybody got back home. So, if you happen to be in Enon Valley next Sunday morning, it's 99.3 MHz on the FM dial.
