Photographer's Note
In keeping with a New York state of mind that I’ve had for the last few days, here’s another vital piece of daily life that keeps this city “on the go.” The taxicabs, with their distinctive yellow paint, are a widely recognized symbol and the only vehicles in the city permitted to pick up passengers in response to a street hail.
Even with well over 10,000 of them navigating the streets of NYC, hailing a cab can be quite an adventure sometimes… but this gentleman certainly seems to have the arm gesture perfected to flag one down.

Yet another known scene on NY streets, about life in the city, Jason.
Nice idea to take on precise moment.
Ireally like to see his face while doing it, sometime there is a unique expression along.

Hello Jason,
I really like this one. :-) Typical NYC, and very well-presented. I like the sharp focus on the man doing the hailing, with a great blur of taxis in the background. It all comes together seamlessly and creates an engaging shot.
