Photographer's Note

Have you bought your tree yet? If not, drop by and see François. He's set up camp on Broadway with a forest of pines that will, er, spruce up your Xmas celebrations. He's come down from Montreal, as he does every year at this time -- left his wife and newborn daughter -- to make sure New Yorkers get a fine Canadian evergreen to complete the pagan aspects of their religious holiday. Although he, er, pines away for home, he'll be here for the duration, selling trees of every size to upwardly mobile folks who couldn't tell a conifer from an eggroll. He's got tall soaring ones to put in the lobby, tiny "Charlie Brown" ones for your office cubicle, and everything in between. He even makes reindeer out of the stumps he cuts off the ends. His motto, "Nobody leaves without a tree." When it comes to Christmas in Gotham, he's second in importance only to Batman Claus himself.

Buy a tree from Francois and make sure it's a good one!.
