Photographer's Note
This is it - that I promised! No zoom - here it is, so close, the Statue of Liberty's raised hand.
I took this picture in a very small viewing room right in her crown in 1997, when the access to the Statue was still open.
How do you like it? I know that the top is a little dark, but the sun was shining and, as you can understand, I had no mobility there, I actually shot this from a tiny, tiny open window!

A really unique view, Irina, and very patriotic! Too bad about the tarp being in the way...this would really have been a fantastic photo. I really like how the top is dark actually.
I love it!

I love the strong prospective of this one, it's really unique and for sure it's an image you can't find in touristic postcards! Actually the dark top is very useful because it adds a light contrast and depth. I can imagine you, still, out of that little window trying to take this picture! What an experience!
