Photographer's Note

This is looking down Buttermilk Falls from about halfway up, on the beginning leg of our hike in the Kittatinny Mountains, near (or maybe in) Stokes Forest -- I'm not sure of the exact parameters; it's woods and hills whichever way you turn.

Anyway, the hike was long and mercifully cool, but the weather, as you can see by the lighting, was less than perfect for photographs. Nevertheless, I was determined, and this is one of the few shots I was at least satisfied with, considering.

The camera is new, so that was half the adventure, trying to remember which buttons did what.

I did as little photoshopping as possible (as always): some adjustment of levels, sharpening and saturation.
