Photographer's Note
the location is the same as for the "road to nowhere" photo i posted earlier. just this time, a sudden gust of wind has lifted up the fallen leaves creating a colorful play in the foreground of the picture as well as higher in the air.
since i was not expecting the gust, the settings were the same as shooting for the still trees (1/80s @ f/18 and ISO 400) therefore, the flying leaves appear as spots and dots of color. hope you like the random effect.

Hi Kristaps, how are you? Love the flying leaves. You can PS each of the leaves and make them blurry :) Just kidding.
Nice colors on the trees and love the contrast with the blue sky.
Great job.

Hi Buddy,
ISO 400 proves to be an excellent choice for this one. Contrast & colors are superb, and those flying leaves really look like sparkling spots against the dark foreground. Wonderful fall shot in every possible respect.
Tell you what I do : gonna take doggie out for his nightwalk, than come back and have a Heineken on this one.
Cheers!
Fulvio.

Hi Kristaps,
Excellent action scene with the brilliantly colored leaves doing what they must this time of year. The beautiful wispy blue sky makes a wonderful compliment to the golden autumn colors.

Hello Kristaps,
i like this saturated shot with the beautiful Autumn colours. The line of the trees create a great perspective in the scene. If the down part of the photo had more light,i think that the scenery would was more attractive.Informative your note too.

Hi Kristaps,
Rows of trees always inspire for great compositions. Here it is an extra bonus to have deep red and blue against each other which gives a strong and powerful color toning.
Extra bonus is the strong wind what makes the leaves fly through the sky...wonderful.

there's something about those dancing leaves that makes this shot both light and playful, but also somewhat menacing, as if saying "it's just a gust now, but wait and see how I turn into a hurricane". the colours add to the drama, I think, the dark and rich red has long been associated with danger, right? or passion, as Stelios rightly has noted :)
on a completely different note - this photo reminds me of an old Soviet-time pop-song about red and yellow leaves...

Bonjour Kristaps,
regards.
Daniel.

Hi Kristaps.Nice mood here with the sun and wind dominating. The light is glorious as it gives a fiery look to the trees and one can see the leaves being tossed by the wind.A well caught moment. Regards. Klaudio.

A bit on the dark side but very atmospheric, the wind can be felt and the flying leaves below make it look even more atmospheric...:)

Hi Kristaps,
there are three features in this image that makes it a wonderful job.
1) the strong perspective of your wide lens which gives dynamism to the scene
2) the colors...do I have to say more?
3) the timing is perfect with the leaves falling down
Simply a great work!

Hi Kristaps,
I do like the random effect of the blowing leaves. Too many nature shots appear to be too stagnant, and nature is anything but stagnant. Your backlighting is beautiful as are the colorful autumn leaves. Your photo has a nice ethereal quality to it and I can almost hear the Headless Horseman galloping toward me! This is quite a unique shot and I like it very much. Wonderful and very creative image!
