Stata Center

It’s time for Boston, the city we also visited in 2016. This time we started in Cambridge, which is located north of Boston, right across the Charles River. Cambridge is home to two of the world’s most prestigious universities, Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

This photo shows the Ray and Maria Stata Center, an academic complex for MIT, which was designed by Frank Gehry and completed in 2004. The complex was named after the main funders of the building. MIT is a private research university, founded in 1861. It is often ranked as one of the best five universities in the world.
