Photographer's Note
another autumn shot from puffers pond in amherst. this time - an early morning shot (i apologize for the hard shadows on the left side) and showing a different angle of the pond, but mostly, i liked the presence of the red shrub in the foreground.
puffers pond is a popular tanning and swimming hangout for amherst students, locals, fishermen, random photographers and police horses... the pond stays perpetually fresh due to being fed by a stream at one end, while excess water exits the pond at the opposite end via a small, artificial waterfall.
thanks for your visit and kind regards,
kristaps

postproduction: slight curves adjustment, sizing to TE size, faded gaussian blur to deal with noise and unsharp mask.
the first of puffers series can be seen following this link: the same place, different angle and shortly before the sunset rather than early in the morning.

Hi Kristaps,Great framing with the tree silhouette against the sky balanced by the red bush. The reflection magnifies the blue to electricity.

I quite like how the red shrub and the overhaning tree seem to frame the pond and how the clouds and the opposite shore seem to converge at one point on the left, it definetly gives the scene a very 3D look. love the saturated colours and smooth surface of the lake, they eye just glides into the shot. great job.
best,
K.

Hey Kristaps,
The presence of the red shrub does make up for that dark spot on the left. Though the blue reflection is stunning in itself, just captures the overall impact of the image.
All the best!

Hi Kristaps,
Love the deep vivid blue lake and the striking reflections it gathers in its calm morning surface. The autumn colors make this lovely image special. Very clear colors and excellent sharpness to this fine autumn image.

Hello Kristpas,
The autumnal colours are great as well as the deep blue of the sky’s reflection on the water. The light management is very well done and the details are fine. There is darkness at the left part but otherwise the beautiful rest would have been destroyed!
Thank you very much for sharing.
Best wishes,
Athanasios.

This seems a mirror!! Incredible reflection and the colors are amzing. I agree with you on the red at the left and i found the shadow not disturbing. Great job!
