Photographer's Note
This marble crucifix is on the front of St. Peters church in downtown Chicago. It's about 30ft tall i'd guess. The rain added a somber touch to the setting. As we prepare for Christmas it's good to reflect on my Jesus was born, to suffer and die for our sins.

Hello Tom,
I like the almost monochrome colors, I like the POV, I like how the crucifix is tilted, I like the heavy rain and the magnified raindrops. All these things visualize the suffering you mention in your note.
I also like the overexposed upper part of this photo, it creates the feeling as if the sky was open just right there, over the body of Christ. The reflections on Corpus Christi are beautiful on the dark background and for me together with the "white heaven" they visualize the promise of resurrection.
