Photographer's Note

Over the last couple of days it has become clear that my planned trip to Burma in two weeks time will not take place, this is due to family and work circumstances. Of course I am dissapointed. However, this does mean that I will have to go to India at the end of January and thinking about it that cant be a bad thing.
Looking through my photos this afternoon, and just thinking about it I am already begining to get itchy fingers, maybe the most photogenic country I know and this time I will have the opportunity to visit a few new places.
This was taken during my last visit in a village near Mandu.

Hi!
That's a lovely shot, with beautiful hues of blue, and a good sharpness. I like the painted writing on the wall and the striking red bangle. And the look, full of interrogations, combined with the gesture of the hand, is an excellent capture.

Blue, so blue...not being able to go to Burma must have given you the blues, Elaine, but what a compensation! India is still on my list of countries to discover..."the most photogenic country you know", well, judging from some of the pictures I see here, it certainly is "the most photogenic country I don't know".

Hello Elaine,
Very nice with blue on blue and with some brown on the side. The Tamil writing adds an exotic touch. A very fine model as well. It's good to hear that you are not too sorry that you "will have to go to india" in January ;-)

Very tender!
Beautiful blue on another blue with just enough pink in the letters for the color contrast. The left brown part drives our eyes to the crisp glance, a little red bracelet and that's it

As I see it one door close another open and you will visit Burma again in the future I can be sure of that. Well this one is very beautiful. Her eyes are so dark with sparkliing light, that you know looking at it she is smiling, and the look is so very engaging. Here clothing match well with the wall in the background. Excellent clarity, good sharpness, good light and composition. Thanks

Hi Elaine, Inclusion of the Hindi script behind her is a nice addition to the good composition, and of course the matching colours work well too. It reminds me very mcuh of scalerman's style. cheers, Steve

A beautiful portrait...your portraits always 'speak'...We can almost swim in her deep eyes. The red bangle just pops out of the dominant blue!

Hi Elaine, Very nice encounter of blues you have captured here but an even nicer encounter of beautiful curious eyes! I used to have the same haircut when I was a little girl (we called it a Jommeke kapsel - if you know him?), which makes me even more akin to her.
I have never thanked you for commenting on my last (long time ago posted) Laos pictures, I so much appreciate you had taken the time to do so, I am really pleased you like them. As you said, it doesn’t matter all that much if it gets any points, as heartfelt comments like yours, mean so much more; so thank you!
Currently still into deliberation myself of where my next trip will go to. I honestly have no idea where I would like to go. I was looking full of expectation at your Indonesia pictures as that was a country on my mind, but I see that you were not all that taken by it. Burma is in my heart and on my mind to go as well, but I don’t want to return before I have a new camera (if ever I’ll have one!) and India is also high on the list. Our travel thoughts seem to run parallel. Where in India will you be going? If ever that would be my decision we might be there at the same time!
