Photographer's Note

Its day time when this picture was shot in Bohol. Thats why the big eyes of this specie of monkey is not visable. Its together with the Pygmy marmoset the smallest monkey in the world. The size is about 15 cm and weights about 120 gram. It lives at night (thats why the big eyes) and feeds itself mostley with insects. Sometimes small lizards. The eyes can not move but the head can turn 180 degrees. So it stil can look around. It can jump 3 meter from one brunch to another. In Philipines it lives only on Bohol, Mindanao, Samar and Leyte. The specie is endangered and they seldom give birth in captivity.
